I accidentally toasted mine a ...Finally tried this! I accidentally toasted mine a bit too much but the texture was great at the end, I think in part because of how toasty my cubes were. BUT. I couldn't really mix the aromatics with the cubes and basically did a layer of bread, spread the aromatics on top and then the rest of the bread on top of that. I did have to add a bit more stock but better to add a splash here and there than try to take away (which is impossible). I do plan to try ATK's crockpot stuffing recipe next as a point of comparison. And do NOT add too much extra stock.
