shout out

I am in love with two blogs.

Everybodylikessandwiches is my homie. She makes healthy, interesting food, I love her creativity and her writing, and I am completely convinced she'd fit right in to our group of friends. So much so, that I kind of fully expect this to happen one day.

Smittenkitchen is my interwebs mentor. Her enthusiastic commentary makes me believe in myself in the kitchen, and as a result, try things like baking bread and roasting whole chickens.

Whose food do you love?

I love Annie's Eats. She makes me feel confident about baking bread.

Well, I haven't been doing much cooking in the last 6 months, but if you would have asked me a year ago, I would have said Simply Recipes, because I was making a lot of her recipes and they always came out great.

Culinary in the Desert is my go-to blog for sweets, and his entrees and sides always seem approachable and relatively easy to pull off.

Smitten Kitchen is definitely one of my favorites.

I have recently discovered a couple of new blogs (new to me at least) that look like they could become favorites:
The Kitchn (thekitchn.com)
The Wednesday Chef (thewednesdaychef.com)
Smells Like Home (smellslikehome.wordpress.com)
Joy the Baker (joythebaker.com)
Feelgood Eats (feelgoodeats.com)

Yay. I love food blogs too... you guys have already named all the ones I read with any regularity except for Mark Bittman's NYT column:

http://bitten.blogs.nytimes.com/

I also just signed up for smitten kitchen's Twitter feed, which is funny. All of you should join me and Shannon on Twitter!

I'm also going to add the Wednesday Chef to my feed reader -- how awecome do these sound:

Lol. Gwen, those cookies sound just like (but less "healthy") your famous yogurt fudge cookies. :)

I forgot to add ellysaysopa.com

Haven't made anything from there yet, but hope to soon. I've never been a stuffed pepper fan, but her stuffed poblanos look yummy.
